While writing my About Page, I have been thinking about which aspects of my life I would like to share with you – the readers of this blog. And I have so many things to share so that you will get an idea of who the real me is! To prevent myself from rambling on and on, I have decided to present “ME” in the following categories.
Biggest Aim in Life
To be a published writer.
What do I want to write about? Well, at the moment I am working on my first novel “Loving Sophie”. It is a love story between two university undergraduates who are head over heels over one another. But as luck would have it, one or two problems might have gotten in the way of their love story. The characters will bring you on a journey that will have you so invested in their story that when you put down the book, you’d wish you could still see their ongoing fictional lives.
Biggest Achievement Thus Far
To have literally overcome 12 years of depression.
The last bout of depression was the worst but it was also the time my husband managed to convince me to seek treatment. I am currently into my second year of taking anti-depressants and I can say I am glad I decided to save myself. So if you are suffering from depression, no matter how much you think nobody can help you (because that was exactly what I had been telling myself the first decade of my depression), trust that someone can. First, you gotta open yourself up for help.
Most Thankful For
Without them, I won’t be where I am today. I won’t be who I am now. I am forever grateful for having been their daughter. There’s nothing in this world that I can do for them that will match what they’ve done for me.
A Girl’s Gotta Dream
I want to be a humanitarian.
Melinda and Bill Gates are who I look up to as philanthropists. I don’t think I will be able to make an impact to the world as big as they have, but they definitely push me to want to do SOMETHING for the world.
I Ran Out of Colours
No, but really. You’ll know more about me as you roam around in this blog. If that still doesn’t satisfy your curiosity, email me! I’m always happy to make a new friend. See you in the (not-so) weekly emails!
